The Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMR) announced that it detected an earthquake in the Bekaa region of Eastern Lebanon on the Yammune Fault at a depth of 6 km, with a magnitude of 4.4, lasting for 16 seconds at exactly 14:06 local time. For her part, the director of the National Geophysics Center, Marlene Brax, denied that the tremor occurred this afternoon.
