Jordan Appoints Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein as Deputy to the King

Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein has taken the oath of office as Deputy to King Abdullah Bin Al-Hussein of Jordan, in the presence of the Cabinet. Prince Ali is the son of King Hussein Bin Talal, the third king of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and his wife Queen Alia. He has one sister, Princess Haya Bint Al-Hussein.

He has served as the President of the West Asian Football Federation and the President of the Jordanian Football Association. He held several military positions and served as the Vice President of the Asian Football Confederation from 2011 to 2015. In 2012, he also founded the Asian Football Development Project, which he currently leads.
