TASS news agency reported on Wednesday that "Armenia has filed a complaint with the International Court of Justice regarding Azerbaijan's establishment of a checkpoint at the beginning of the Lachin corridor." This corridor is the only road connecting Armenia to the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which is internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan but has a majority Armenian population. Azerbaijan set up a checkpoint on Sunday at the only land route leading to the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh area, a move that was followed by allegations of gunfire along the border between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces.
