Reactions to the Resumption of Relations between Riyadh and Tehran

Reactions from Arab and international communities have followed the agreement between Riyadh and Tehran to resume diplomatic relations, emphasizing that this step will contribute to enhancing security and stability in the region. The United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the agreement on resuming diplomatic relations between Riyadh and Tehran.

UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed stated in a tweet, "The resumption of relations between our brother Saudi Arabia and Iran is an important step for stability and prosperity in the region."

Damascus also welcomed the agreement "reached between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran to resume diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries." The Syrian Foreign Ministry expressed its high appreciation for the sincere efforts made by the Chinese leadership in this regard.

Additionally, it noted, "This important step will enhance security and stability in the region and lead to cooperation that will positively reflect on the common interests of the two peoples, particularly and the peoples of the region in general." The statement further expressed Syria's hope that these efforts would extend to relations among Arab countries and their friends to face the major challenges in today's world.

For its part, the Yemeni government welcomed the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran to resume diplomatic relations. Many countries have expressed their support for the agreement to resume diplomatic relations between Riyadh and Tehran, which is expected to enhance regional and international peace and security following talks held in Beijing.
