UK Prime Minister to Visit Washington Next Week

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will hold talks with US President Joe Biden next week in Washington regarding the enhancement of economic relations and ways to maintain military support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. A spokesman for the UK Prime Minister indicated that Sunak will be in Washington on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, where he will meet with Biden, members of Congress, and senior American business figures. The spokesman stated, "The visit will be an opportunity to continue discussions that the Prime Minister and President Biden have had in recent months on enhancing the level of cooperation and coordination between the United Kingdom and the United States regarding economic challenges that will define our future." He added, "There will also be an opportunity to discuss issues including maintaining our support for Ukraine."
