The French oil giant TotalEnergies announced today, Monday, that it has "reached an agreement with Suriname on how to share production in two offshore areas in the Latin American country." It indicated in a statement that it "will hold a 40 percent stake in the operation of offshore areas 6 and 8 alongside Qatari Energy, which will hold a 20 percent stake, while Suriname's state-owned oil company, Staatsolie, will hold a 40 percent stake."
