Authorities in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, announced today, Wednesday, that at least nine people were killed during a raid conducted in the city. The police explained that the raid aimed to locate members of criminal gangs and arrest them; however, security forces came under attack from armed individuals. Additionally, one security officer was injured and was transferred to a hospital, where his condition is stable.
