Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda stated today, after speaking with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, that Lithuania and Poland have agreed to pay more attention to their eastern borders due to the situation in Russia. Senior officials in Warsaw confirmed that the ongoing events in Russia are an internal matter and do not pose any threat to Poland. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki considered the increasing tension at the border with Belarus to be possible. President Andrzej Duda, following a meeting at the National Security Bureau, stated, "We truly believe that this is an internal matter for Russia. We are not issuing any orders for a higher level of readiness for our army."
