Hani Bahsali, the head of the Syndicate of Food Importers, stated that "the price index in Lebanon recorded a 6.8% increase in July, and this rise of 5 to 10% is justified." In an interview with "Voice of Lebanon," Bahsali pointed out that "the increase in prices included food items, as well as other materials."
