After the Southern Incident: Mikati Meets Frontsika and UNIFIL

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati met today, Thursday, with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Joanna Frontera, along with a delegation from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) led by Commander General Aroldo Lazaro. Lazaro emphasized the need to maintain stability along the Blue Line and respect UN resolution 1701. Mikati reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to resolution 1701, calling on the United Nations to work on stopping Israeli violations, which have reached 18 breaches of the Blue Line recently. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib and the government coordinator with international peacekeeping forces, Brigadier General Munir Shhada. It is worth noting that Mikati monitored the situation in the South today, Thursday, and contacted the Army Commander and UNIFIL leadership.
