Former president of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt confirmed during a television interview his solidarity with the southern Lebanese citizen in facing any Israeli aggression, wishing to avoid provoking the resistance. However, he commented: “Given the magnitude of this operation, the region may enter a war.” He added, “Did Blinken not see thousands of Palestinian deaths over the decades?” He continued, “On what land will Palestine be established with 800,000 settlers on its territory?”
