The TASS news agency reported on Saturday that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko stated that Western countries will face "colossal risks" if they supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets. Grushko noted that Western nations remain committed to a scenario of escalation, which entails significant risks for them. He added, "In any case, this will be taken into account in all our plans, and we have all the means necessary to achieve our objectives."
Senior U.S. officials indicated that "Ukraine has not yet received commitments for delivery of the aircraft," but U.S. President Joe Biden told G7 leaders on Friday that Washington supports joint training programs for Ukrainian pilots on F-16s.
