The platform "Twitter" announced that it has banned certain content in Turkey ahead of the presidential elections. It did not clarify what the banned content is or who requested the ban, according to the American website "Forbes." It mentioned that "in response to legal processes and to ensure Twitter remains available to people in Turkey, we have taken steps to restrict access to certain content in Turkey." It added that the affected account holders have been informed of the new decision, indicating that the banned content in Turkey will still be accessible in the rest of the world. Twitter's owner, Elon Musk, defended the new policy regarding the Turkish elections.
