America, Japan, and South Korea Condemn North Korea's Missiles

The South Korean military reported today, Thursday, that "North Korea launched two ballistic missiles off its eastern coast." This launch came after North Korea issued a protest against the live-fire drills conducted by Seoul with the United States. For their part, the United States, Japan, and South Korea condemned the launch of the short-range missiles off South Korea's eastern coast. A joint statement said: "The launch of the missiles is a clear violation of several United Nations Security Council resolutions and demonstrates the threat posed by North Korea’s illegal weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs to the region, international peace and security, and the global non-proliferation regime."
