The EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, stated on Thursday that "the bloc rejects the seizing of power by force in Gabon" and calls on all parties to exercise restraint. Borrell said in a statement: "Solutions in Gabon must respect the rule of law, constitutional order, and democracy."
