Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Saad Al-Barak, announced his complete rejection of Iranian claims and actions regarding the "Dorra" gas field, affirming that it is a natural resource belonging solely to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, with no other party having rights to it until maritime borders are delineated. The Kuwaiti foreign ministry has also invited Iran to begin negotiations on border demarcation. It is noted that the "Dorra" gas field will provide approximately one billion cubic feet of gas, shared equally between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
