Nobel Foundation Cancels Invitations to Ambassadors from Russia, Belarus, and Iran

The Nobel Foundation announced today, Saturday, that it "will not invite the ambassadors of Russia, Iran, and Belarus to the Nobel Prize award ceremony in Stockholm this year under any circumstances." The foundation stated in a press release: "We appreciate the strong reactions in Sweden." They added: "We have decided to repeat the exception from usual practices that we made last year, which is not to invite the ambassadors of Russia, Belarus, and Iran to the Nobel Prize award ceremony."
