Despite all the fears associated with its name since its inception, "Chat GPT" remains a topic of discussion among technology circles. In recent developments, Sam Altman, the head of the American company OpenAI, predicted that artificial intelligence, including Chat GPT, will revolutionize education much like calculators did, stating that "this rapidly advancing technology will not replace education."
In a lecture at Q University in Tokyo, Altman mentioned that "homework may not remain as we know it," stressing that "the world now has a new educational tool akin to a calculator for words, and the methods of teaching and assessing students must change."
Currently, he is on a global tour meeting with company leaders and decision-makers to discuss the opportunities provided by generative artificial intelligence and future regulations surrounding this technology. He expressed confidence in the safeguards accompanying the development of this technology but reiterated that there are concerns in this context.
