Saudi Arabia and the United States, in a joint statement, expressed their deep concern over serious violations of the ceasefire and the Jeddah Declaration by both the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces. The statement noted that these violations have harmed civilians and the Sudanese people, hindered the delivery of humanitarian aid, and disrupted the return of essential services. "Once the parties demonstrate their seriousness about complying with the ceasefire, the facilitators are prepared to resume the suspended discussions to find a negotiated solution to this conflict." To this end, "we urge both sides to seriously commit to the ceasefire and support humanitarian efforts that address the humanitarian needs of the Sudanese people."
