A Pakistani man killed his 20-year-old niece, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail," in West Yorkshire, northeastern England, after she refused to marry his son. The body of the biomedical student at Leeds Beckett University, Sumaiya Begum, was found stabbed with a sharp object in a desolate area one mile from her home, a week after she was reported missing. Mohammad Tarus Khan, 53, was sentenced to life in prison for 25 years at Bradford Crown Court after being convicted of Sumaiya Begum's murder in July 2022. The newspaper published footage from a security camera showing Khan dragging Begum's body from his car and dumping it in a waste area. Khan admitted to disposing of his niece's body and destroying her phone, which was found in a nearby burning trash bin. Prosecutors stated that Khan had stolen the keys to the three-bedroom house on June 25 of last year. The young woman had been living with her grandmother and one of her uncles and had previously been threatened by her killer uncle, who insisted she marry his son when she was just 16 years old.
