Reopening of the Main Border Crossing Between Afghanistan and Pakistan

A senior Pakistani official indicated to Reuters today, Friday, that "the main border crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan has reopened after being closed for nine days." The Torkham border crossing between the neighboring countries had been closed since last week after gunfire broke out between forces from both sides, trapping thousands of travelers and hundreds of trucks loaded with goods.
