Hail Injuries in Italy After High Temperatures

Italian media reported on Friday that "at least 110 people were injured by hailstones the size of tennis balls, which fell during a thunderstorm in a rare weather phenomenon in northern Italy." The president of the Veneto region, Luca Zaia, stated: "The diameter of the hailstones reached 10 centimeters." Emergency services noted that they responded to over 500 calls to address property damage and provide first aid to the injured. Italy, Spain, and Greece have recently experienced a severe heatwave, with Rome recording a temperature of 41 degrees Celsius.
