Army: Training Exercises, Ammunition Detonation, and Night Flights

The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance announced that "the Air Force will conduct night flights on the dates of March 6, 7, and 8, 2023, starting from 18:10 until 24:00 each day, transitioning between the following air bases: Hamat, Rayak, Beirut, and Qlayaat." It added that "a unit of the army will also conduct training exercises at the Shawakir training center on March 7, 8, and 9, 2023, from 07:00 to 16:00, which will include the use of live ammunition." The army command indicated in a statement that "on March 6, 2023, between 10:00 and 14:00, non-governmental organizations working in mine clearance will detonate unexploded ordnance in the vicinity of the following southern towns: Dhahira, Marwahin, Amara, Hula, Arab al-Lawziah, Mays al-Jabal, Tair Harfa, Aita al-Jabal, and Yarun."
