A spokesperson for the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Emos Longo, stated today, Friday, that an emergency summit will be held regarding the situation in Niger in the Nigerian capital Abuja this coming Sunday following the coup in Niger. Longo mentioned that an official statement regarding the agenda of the summit will be issued later.
