Turkey: Start of the Election Silence Period

Turkey has entered the "election silence" period, during which campaigning is prohibited, just hours before the voting begins in the presidential and parliamentary elections. The "election silence" period extends until 21:00 tomorrow, Sunday, but may end earlier if permitted by the Supreme Election Council (YSK). According to the timeline previously announced by the Turkish Supreme Election Council, the "election silence" begins at 18:00 today and continues until 21:00 tomorrow local time.
