The Suez Canal Authority announced in a statement today, Sunday, that it has deployed three tugboats to tow an oil tanker after its engines failed while crossing the canal. Chairman Osama Rabi stated that "navigation in the canal from the north will return to normal once the tanker, which was en route from Russia to China, is towed. It measures 274 meters in length and 48 meters in width, with a capacity of 82,000 tons."
