The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided to send two astronauts to the International Space Station using spacecraft from the American company SpaceX. Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia reached an agreement in Houston with Axiom Space, which organizes private space flights aboard American spacecraft. Under this agreement, the two Saudi astronauts will launch to the International Space Station aboard SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft, where they will spend one week in space before returning to Earth. The participants in this mission, dubbed Ax-2, will join two Americans who have been sent to space previously. However, this mission has not yet received approval from the participating countries in the International Space Station: Russia, Canada, Japan, and the European Space Agency.
