Sumaya Ghannouchi confirmed that her father made this decision after participating in over 120 hours of investigations into what she described as "fabricated" and "empty" cases. She stated in a tweet that "the decision to boycott was a rejection of engaging in the theater of political trials and endless investigation sessions, with the aim of exhausting Ghannouchi both mentally and physically."
