4 People Killed in Tourist Boat Capsize in Italy

Italian officials reported that "4 people, including two Italians working in the intelligence agency, died in the capsizing of a tourist boat that was caught in a storm on Lake Maggiore in the north of the country." The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "a retired member of the Israeli security forces and the wife of the Russian boat captain also died in the incident." The 16-meter boat was carrying 25 people when it encountered a sudden and violent storm, leading to its sinking near the town of Lisanza. Most of the passengers and crew were able to survive by swimming to shore or being rescued by other boats.
