"Constructive" Call Between the U.S. State Department and President Nabih Berri

U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland announced that she had a "constructive" phone call with Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri regarding the urgent need to elect a president and pass legislation to facilitate the reforms required by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Nuland added in a tweet that she appreciated Berri's commitment to try to maintain quorum and keep electoral sessions open until the task is completed.
