Earthquake Measuring 6.9 Strikes Niuafo'o Region in Tonga

The U.S. Geological Survey announced that "an earthquake measuring 6.9 struck the Niuafo'o region of Tonga today, Sunday." It was noted that "the earthquake occurred at a depth of 247 kilometers." The U.S. Tsunami Warning Center reported that "the U.S. West Coast, British Columbia, and Alaska are not at risk of a tsunami."
