The services of the "Instagram" application, owned by "Meta," were interrupted for 98,000 users yesterday, Sunday. However, it has returned for most users following the resolution of a technical issue that caused the service disruption, according to "Meta."
A company spokesperson told Reuters that "a technical issue caused some people to be unable to access the app. However, we have managed to resolve the issue as quickly as possible."
The company did not disclose how many users were affected by the service outage. However, the website "Down Detector" reported over 100,000 cases in the United States, 24,000 in Canada, and more than 56,000 in the United Kingdom who were impacted.
More than 180,000 users reported issues accessing the app at the peak of the service disruption.
