The Chairman of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, Mr. Hashim Safi al-Din, emphasized that Al-Aqsa Mosque and the sacred sites are not alone in Palestine; rather, behind these sanctities are hundreds of millions of Muslims who are always ready to give blood for Al-Aqsa.
During a memorial ceremony, he stated, "If the Zionists believe they can desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque, they should know that their efforts to achieve their goals by targeting the sacred sites, or by targeting Al-Aqsa to demolish or burn it, or to undermine all our sacred sites, will inflame the entire region."
Safi al-Din expressed hope that these events would be an opportunity to reaffirm "the resistance option that our nation needs; we need it in Palestine, we need it in Lebanon, and we need it in all confrontation sites with the enemies," in order to ensure the nation's strength and capability in shaping its own future.
