Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport has announced its intention to ban night flights and private jets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution. The airport's general manager stated in a press release, according to "Business Travel News Europe," that "aircraft will be prohibited from taking off between midnight and six in the morning, and will not be allowed to land before five in the morning." He noted that "the ban on night flights will bring peace to the surrounding area of the airport, amid complaints from residents about noise for years." These changes at one of Europe’s largest airports are expected to take effect starting the 2025-2026 season.
