A young Lebanese woman residing in Marseille, named Diana, sang the prayer "Hail Mary" in Syriac before Pope Francis, inspired by Eastern Orthodox and Syriac rituals. At the end of the performance, Pope Francis, aged 86 and suffering from knee and hip pain, who now moves using a wheelchair or with a cane, stood up and shook hands with Diana, blessing her.
