Russia Charges Suspect with Terrorism in St. Petersburg Blast

Russian investigators have today charged 26-year-old Daria Tribova with terrorism related to the death of pro-war blogger Vladlen Tatarsky in an explosion in St. Petersburg this week. The Investigative Committee has accused Tribova of committing "a terrorist act on behalf of an organized group, resulting in intentional murder," with a potential maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. It was further stated that the suspect acted under instructions from individuals working for Ukraine.

Initial investigations revealed that Daria Tribova handed a bomb-laden statue to Russian military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky, which exploded, killing him and injuring dozens of others. According to the Russian Ministry of Health, an additional 40 people were injured in the blast, with 25 receiving treatment in the hospital as of this morning.
