Congressional Foreign Affairs Committee on August 4th: Lebanon Should Not Fall into Iran's Grip

Members of the Senate sent a message to U.S. President Joe Biden, on the eve of the Beirut port explosion, today Thursday, urging him to use all diplomatic means to prevent Lebanon from falling into Iran's grip. The members emphasized the "necessity of continuing to support the Lebanese Army as it is the only institution still capable of playing a deterrent role against Hezbollah."
