China: US Trade Restrictions Threaten Consumer Interests

The Chinese Semiconductor Industry Association stated today, Wednesday, that "the measures taken by the US government to impose trade restrictions threaten the globalization of the semiconductor sector and endanger consumer interests." The association mentioned in a statement: "Any damage currently inflicted on the global supply chain that has been formed over the past decades in parallel with the process of globalization may create an unavoidable or irreparable negative impact on the global economy." It added: "The Chinese semiconductor sector welcomes open cooperation and will continue to innovate."
