Lebanon's Deaf Basketball Team Refuses to Face Israel

Mark Nadeem Kostantin, the head of the "Lebanese Federation for the Deaf," rejected Lebanon's participation in any group that includes the Israeli team. He communicated with the international federation, which eventually agreed after some effort. Consequently, the draw placed the Lebanese team in Group C alongside Argentina, Lithuania, and Spain.

Minister Kلاس announced Lebanon's participation in the upcoming World Championship for the Deaf in basketball, after receiving an invitation from the international federation. This event is scheduled to take place in Crete, Greece, from June 13 to June 24.

It is worth noting that Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. George Kلاس welcomed Kostantin and his mother, Riva Haik Kostantin, the founder of the Association for Parents of the Deaf in Lebanon, in a meeting aimed at informing him about joining the international federation of the sport, making Lebanon the first Arab nation and the eighth in Asia to do so.
