Lebanese Army Contributes to Fighting Fires in Cyprus

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Guidance announced that it dispatched two AB-212 Agusta-Bell helicopters, belonging to the Air Forces, with a team of 13 personnel including officers, non-commissioned officers, and technicians, to Larnaca Airport, Cyprus, to assist the Cypriot authorities in extinguishing the fires. It is noteworthy that the Lebanese Army also completed a mission supporting the Greek authorities last week to extinguish fires that broke out over the past week. The mission included surveillance patrols and firefighting sorties.
