Completion of UBS's Acquisition of the Bank on Monday

Bloomberg News reported, citing the CEO of Credit Suisse Group, Ulrich Körner, that UBS's acquisition of its smaller competitor will be completed on Monday. Körner stated in a memo to employees, "On Monday, we will see the conclusion of this chapter in our history, but it will also represent the beginning of an exciting new future. The legal completion of the deal on Monday is the next important step." UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti hinted last Friday that the acquisition of Credit Suisse would be completed on Monday, which is the earliest expected date. UBS declined to comment, while Credit Suisse has not yet responded to a request from Reuters for comment.
