Kyodo News reported today that "China has informed Japan that it is looking to hold talks between the leaders of the two countries in Indonesia in September." The Japanese news agency cited unnamed Japanese and Chinese officials stating that "the meeting will be between Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Chinese Premier Li Qiang, on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit."
