The Minister of Interior and Municipalities in the caretaker government, Judge Bassam Molawi, stated that "all Lebanese are partners in the homeland to build its future," noting that "sincere intentions and serious work to build a strong state and institutions can lead Lebanon out of its crises towards better prospects." During his meeting with a delegation from the Lebanese community in Marseille, in the presence of Lebanon's Consul General Sonia Abu Azar, Molawi pointed out that "the security situation in Lebanon is good thanks to the determination of the military and security agencies," emphasizing that "disturbing security is prohibited and the security arena will not be a stage for delivering political messages." He confirmed the "necessity of adhering to the requirements of legitimacy in word and deed, and maintained his position that there is 'no legitimacy outside legitimacy'," indicating that "the building of nations is based on four foundations: security, judiciary, education, and health, which should be the focus of any stable and ambitious state." Molawi listened to the opinions and concerns of the Lebanese community in Marseille. For her part, Abu Azar commended "the role played by Minister Molawi regarding maintaining security and developing municipal work."
