The pilot of a Sudanese army fighter jet survived death after managing to land using his parachute at the last moment. According to eyewitnesses, the plane crashed in Omdurman, Sudan, in an area far from residential buildings. Reports emerged that the pilot was captured by the Rapid Support Forces and sustained some bruises. This incident marks a blatant violation during the second day of the truce, particularly as eyewitnesses indicated that the Rapid Support Forces were responsible for the plane's downing.
