After five months of being missing while climbing in Southern California, it has been revealed that British actor Julian Sands has died at the age of 65. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department reported that "human remains, nearly skeletal, were discovered by hikers on June 25 in the vicinity of where he went missing, and they have tested positive as being those of the actor."
The department stated in a statement that "the cause of death is still under investigation, and we are awaiting further test results." Sands, known for his love of outdoor adventures and climbing, was reported missing on January 13 after he went climbing alone earlier that same day in the Baldy Bowl area of the San Gabriel Mountains, about 80 kilometers northeast of Los Angeles.
