Casualties in Explosion During Funeral of Provincial Deputy Governor in Afghanistan

A local official in Afghanistan announced today, Thursday, that an explosion occurred inside a mosque in the north of the country during the funeral of a provincial deputy governor who was killed in an attack. The head of the media office of Badakhshan province in northern Afghanistan, Moazuddin Ahmadi, revealed that "the explosion caused casualties without specifying the number." The ISIS group claimed responsibility for the car bomb explosion that resulted in the death of the deputy governor.
