The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated in a statement today, Monday, that "the international organization and relief agencies have reduced the budget for the 2023 aid plan for Afghanistan to $3.2 billion from $4.6 billion earlier this year." The office noted that "a changing operational context" following restrictions imposed by the Taliban administration on the work of females in the relief sector contributed to the adjustment of the plan.
