Series of Arrests by the Lebanese Army: Human Smuggling and Gunfire

The Lebanese Army arrested 16 individuals today, Wednesday, for their involvement in human smuggling via the sea. In detail, an army force raided the homes of wanted individuals in the towns of Bebnine - Akkar and El Mina - Tripoli, where they apprehended 16 people and seized military weapons, ammunition, and military gear, as part of efforts to combat human smuggling operations by sea. Additionally, an army patrol arrested 9 wanted individuals in the city of Zahle on Tuesday for firing weapons, seizing military weapons, ammunition, and military gear. Investigations with the detainees have commenced under the oversight of the relevant judicial authority.
