The Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Raï received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Walid Bukhari, at the Patriarchal See in Bkerke, who presented holiday greetings, praising "the national positions of Patriarch Raï that form a guarantee and a roadmap for solutions." Bukhari affirmed "the Kingdom's constant support for Lebanon and its people," and pointed out "the historical and deep relations that connect his country with Lebanon and especially with the Maronite Patriarchate."
He also met with the cultural advisor at the Iranian Embassy, Kamil Baqir, who emphasized "the importance of meeting the Maronite Patriarch in the context of congratulatory visits for the celebration of the birth of Christ and the new year, offering wishes to the Lebanese people for improvement in economic and living conditions, and returning to prophetic teachings to resolve the crises and problems present in our societies, the region, Lebanon, and the world."
Among the visitors to Bkerke was the Director General of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Antoine Shuqair, who also congratulated him for the holidays.
