Zelensky Praises Resistance Against Russian Attacks in Eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the Ukrainian forces today, Sunday, for their ability to effectively repel Russian attacks near Avdiivka, one of the key combat points in the east of the country. Zelensky stated in his evening video address, "The Avdiivka sector is repelling attacks very effectively." He added that the assaults on the southern Tavriya front were "the fiercest," expressing his gratitude to the soldiers fighting there and in other locations. The head of the military administration in Avdiivka told national television that "Ukrainian forces have advanced one kilometer in the vicinity of the town over the past two weeks." Ukrainian military officials spoke about progress made on the southern front.
